Invigorate your Mycology Journey

Our Trainings are for those ready to immerse themselves in fungal culture! Three long intensive days (w/ breaks for lunch and dinner) where we cover what it takes to work with fungi and in turn, cultivate them. The small class size (no more than 30 participants) ensures everyone is addressed, and encourages communication between participants. We will go through a series of presentations, and hands-on workshops. We will be both inside and outside our lab/farm and local Permaculture Homesteads. We will get a chance to work in an Urban style clean room and lab, and fruiting facility. Depending on the time of year and weather, we may be inside the whole time.

Meet Your Guide: William Padilla-Brown

William Padilla-Brown is a mycologist and entrepreneur renowned for his pioneering work in the cultivation of Cordyceps mushrooms, specifically Cordyceps militaris. Born with a deep fascination for fungi, Padilla-Brown has dedicated his life to studying, cultivating, and sharing his knowledge of these remarkable organisms.

Since 2015, William Padilla-Brown has been a trailblazer in the cultivation of Cordyceps militaris. He was the first english speaking person to write literature on cordyceps cultivation. He recognized the immense potential of these fungi and embarked on a mission to develop optimized cultivation techniques. What sets his work apart is his emphasis on sustainable and ecologically responsible methods that do not rely on insect hosts, as traditionally observed in Cordyceps species.

Padilla-Brown's dedication to Cordyceps cultivation has not only advanced the field but has also positioned Cordyceps militaris as a valuable and accessible resource for a wide range of individuals, from farmers to health enthusiasts.
